Light, Speed, Efficiency

Steve Rapp’s profession is anything but ordinary. Unlike most Americans, he doesn’t have the luxury of letting his weight slip a little bit here-and-there. Increasing strength and endurance while maintaining his target weight are all part of his very physical career.

As an AMA pro Superbike racer, Rapp’s target weight is determined by the size of his bike. “I’m moving to a Kawasaki ZX600 this year which is a smaller bike, so I need to be lighter,” said Rapp. “The lighter I am the more power I have.”

With race speeds reaching 185mph, faster than winds generated by some category 5 hurricanes, Rapp has to stay on top of his game both mentally and physically. Living in a southern California beach town affords him the ability to train outdoors during the winter months, in preparation for his spring debut.

“I run about 5 miles a day, 3 times a week, and road cycle 30-60 miles on the days in between,” said Rapp. “I also try and do yoga once or twice a week, which feels great to both my body and mind.”

In addition to a healthy exercise regimen, the racer also maintains a healthy diet. “A typical breakfast usually includes vitamins and grapefruit,” said Rapp. “I’ll have a salad or sandwich for lunch, and dinner is typically sushi, chicken, or fish with veggies. I try not to eat a lot of carbs,” he added. “And I drink plenty of water.”

Because Rapp takes such good care of himself physically, the 34 year-old has continued to dominate in a sport most commonly shared by racers in their twenties.

The decision to move to a smaller bike meant Rapp would have to shed roughly ten pounds before March and maintain it throughout the eight-month season. “Since I was working out and doing so much cardio I was even hungrier,” he said. “I tried eating less throughout the day but I noticed a big drop in my energy levels.”

“I was looking for a natural way to stay lean and sustain my energy,” he added, “and that’s when a friend introduced me to Sesamin Rx.”

The first thing Rapp noticed was a curb in his appetite. “All of a sudden, I was able to go through the day and not eat as much,” he said, “but my energy levels remained high.”

After taking Sesamin Rx for a couple of weeks, Rapp says he began to see other changes. “I could tell I was leaner, and my body weight was down to nearly half of my target loss,” he said. “I was pleasantly surprised.”

“I look forward to seeing what Supranatural Rx can help me accomplish before I hit the track in March.”
