Biography

Jeff Carlucci was born in Hollywood, Calif. and has an older brother and two younger sisters. When not on the beach you can find him rock climbing, scuba diving, skydiving, skiing, or even relaxing on the golf course. He grew up playing many sports, but set his sights on professional tennis. That is until his senior year in high school when volleyball was introduced to him by a group of friends

Wanting a new challenge, Carlucci decided to try out for the team and in doing so found his new passion.That season he lead the team to a division title and was voted MVP of the league, first-team CIF, selected as Fab 50, Mizuno All-American, won the Junior Olympics, and played with the Junior National Team. He then went on to win back-to-back state championships for Golden West College where he was voted player of the year as well as MVP of his team, the league, and the state tournament. Carlucci decided to take up the beach game in 1998. In 1999 he was the second ranked amateur and turned pro joining the AVP in 2000.
