In Hollywood, the pressure to be thin – sometimes too thin – are enough to push anyone over the edge. But 20 year-old Amber Stevens takes it all in stride, managing to be gorgeous without starving herself. The actress/model/musician, and daughter of international celebrity Shadoe Stevens, understands that balance and a healthy lifestyle are the keys to looking great and feeling even better.
Amber is no stranger to being in the spotlight as she has appeared in episodes of CSI and Complete Savages, the feature film Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, as well as a number of national print and commercial campaigns including Old Navy, Cingular, Kmart, and KFC.
In preparation for her leading role in the new ABC Family series, Greek, set to debut this summer, Stevens has been working hard to stay trim, the healthy way.
“I have a major sweet tooth,” confesses Stevens, “so I’ve cut down on sugar, and I’m trying to put more veggies into my diet. My portion sizes have changed a lot. I’m making small changes so I’m not miserable; I’m not starving myself.”
Stevens also incorporates exercise as part of her healthy lifestyle.
“I work out about 4 days a week,” she says. “I run and lift some light weights, and I work with a trainer twice a week on my core exercises.”
“I’m a firm believer of getting in shape the natural way,” she adds.
The 5’9 actress says she’s tried supplements before, but didn’t see many results from them. Although, after taking Sesamin Rx for just over a month, Stevens noticed something that many women dream about.
“My jeans were fitting more comfortably,” she says enthusiastically. “There was no little fat roll over the side!”
“I’ve also noticed that I feel okay when I do slip up a little,” she continues. “When I eat something I shouldn’t have, I don’t feel like it’s sitting in my body and is as hard to work off. It seems to go away much quicker.”
“I’ve worked hard in the past and have never seen results this quickly,” Stevens concludes. “I feel really great!”
